I don't spend much time in the Steam Forums, so if someone can tell me how to delete this thread (if possible) then I will do so as quickly as possible. If you want to get a refund from the online gaming platform Steam, you’re in luck. If this thread is in violation of Valve's rules, I'd be happy to take it down. I wanted to directly report this to a Valve employee, but I was unsure of who I should get in touch with / how best to do it. I actually wasn't aware that that was a rule. You should've posted the Steam rules for the forums, and where they state that threads like this one are not allowed It's a catchall clause to stop your idea, as well as any other scheme their lovely users come up with as thanks for introducing this. With Steam's refund system, I can buy a game bundled with its artbook and soundtrack (for a slightly higher price than the game on its own), install it, save the artbook and soundtrack to my desktop, and then request a refund for the game. The files are in no way tied to Steam's DRM system. MP3s - generally files that you can just drag onto your desktop or save to your phone if you want to enjoy them on the go. Many games on Steam offer bundles that allow you to buy the game along with some digital goodies, like an art book or the game's soundtrack. I recently realized that there is a pretty easy way to cheat Steam's refund system to get free stuff from some games. ![]()
